Jr. Ranger

Last Spring Grandma and Grandpa took Pete to the Petrified forest.
It was here that he earned his first Jr. Ranger Badge.

This program fits Pete perfectly,
it combines science, his love of parks, and earning "something".

In the fall, we visited Sequoia National Park to see the world's largest tree

and Pete earned his Jr. Ranger Badge for that park.

This past weekend we went to the Grand Canyon.

During this trip Pete was able to earn 2 Jr. Ranger badges!

The first was at the Grand Canyon.

The second was an impromptu stop on the drive home

at Montezuma's Castle.

I think we all know more about these parks than ever before!

Seriously though, it is a great way to go through a park

as there are activities to help keep the kids focused

rather than just running around like crazy people :)
