Matt may have been in the valley since 1995
but he has never really seen the Grand Canyon.
So when Pete was 1 and I was pregnant with Isie
we took the train from Williams to enjoy the "Wild West"
and see the grand canyon.
Unfortunately a freak snow storm that March weekend
made the canyon impossible to see.

Last week we decided to try again.
Even though it is January, we had a much better view!
I was thrilled that most of our walking path had a great fence
blocking us from huge drop.
As you can imagine I spent most of my time
keeping Isie out of harm's way.
It actually wasn't too bad,
but she had to hold my hand 98% of the time!
Pete enjoyed his Jr. Ranger program
and learned a lot about how the canyon was formed.
And Matt FINALLY got to see the canyon!
