Last Day of School

Today is the last day of school!

It is always a bit bitter-sweet.

They are excited to move onto bigger and better things

but they love their teachers and friends in class and hate to leave them.

Pete is done with first grade-Ready to tackle second grade!

Isie graduated Kindergarten today,

I cannot believe she will be a first grader next year!

Kind of full circle, I left the first grade classroom to stay home with my kids

and now they will both be in or have been in first grade.

I guess I'll have to go back into the classroom again.

Kindergarten had a performance and celebration.

They sang and danced and recited a poem.

Isie with her Kindgergarten teacher (and Pete's), Mrs.Hughes.

And there is the kindergarten crush- Bo.

He was not pleased to stand by her or have his picture taken!

And the children are off to a new school next year.

We were rezoned for Carlson

and decided (with most of our neighborhood friends)

to take advantage of the smaller size.
