I have been meaning to post about our visit to
"the Happiest Place on Earth", and boy was it!
We all had a great time!
For the kids it was so magical,
they believe (of course) that everything is real.
This made meeting our "friends" so much more exciting.
The children met the main mouse, Mickey:
And his female counterpart, Minnie:
They also met their favorite puppy, Pluto:
And Goofy, whom Isie insists is the big bad wolf:
They also met Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore:
And of course, Tigger:
Then Isie and I met all of the princesses
that were at the castle that day.
Unfortunately her favorite, Ariel, was not there...
she must have been out at sea.
But Isie did get to meet her 2nd favorite, Tinkerbell:
In addition to meeting the celebrities,
the kids LOVED the rides!
Isie's favorite was "It's a Small World"
She danced and bopped through the whole thing, 4 TIMES
yep, that means I also went through it 4 TIMES,
not to mention how many times
I have heard the music playing in our car!!
Pete enjoyed all of the coasters.
He rode on Gadget's go-coaster 3 times,
but he also went on a couple of scarier coasters
like Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain:

Take a look in front of Matt
(the guy with the tan coat in the center)
and to the right, you'll see half of Pete's face :)
I have to take a moment and tell you about Autotopia.
In this ride we are in cars that we sort-of control.
They are on a rail to keep them within a path,
but you can move them from side to side a little bit.
You also hold down a gas pedal to make them start and stop
but they don't go very fast.
Of course Matt and I held down the gas pedal
(I dread the day Isie can reach it)
but the kids got to steer.
Pete was straight and steady, never wavering.
The fact that Isie refers to the ride as "bumper cars"
tells you how she was driving.
And believe me it was intentional!
As soon as the rail would turn us one way and she felt slack
she would yank the wheel the opposite
so that we would slam into the rail,
fun but not for anyone with motion sickness.
I think we went on everything the kids were tall enough for.
They loved most of the rides.
However, the ones that went inside into the dark were found a bit scary.
2 days completely wore me out
but I look foward to visiting through the kid's eyes again sometime!
