As you all know,
the kids think that when it is 70 degrees out they need a jacket.
We are use to the sunshine and the warmth, not the cold.
Matt and I thought they would enjoy seeing real snow.
So we took a mini-vacation to Flagstaff.
to pull the car over so they could play in it.
Patchy ground cover led to squeals, pointing, and screaming "look, I see snow!"
We finally got to Flagstaff and decided to have lunch first.
The fact that there was snow in the parking lot
was a source of amazement.
They could not figure out why it was EVERYWHERE.
After lunch we drove to a snowplay area.
This of course took forever as we waited
in line after line of cars looking for somewhere to park.
Finally we got to play in the snow.
The kids loved it!
Isie of course decided it was a buffet
and ate as much snow as she possibly could
whenever Matt or I were not directly holding onto her.
Pete wanted to build a snowman.
Unfortunately the snow would not cooperate
but he had fun making his "snow mountain".

It looks like you guys had a great time. That must of been quite an experience going from a warm 70 degrees to snow. 70 sounds so nice right now!!!
